Junior Content Editor

We’re seeking a dedicated and creative Content Editor to join our UK based remote team.

As a Content Editor, you’ll be part of our marketing team and handle editing all content written for Pictory’s blog, the publication and planning of upcoming content.

You'll be responsible for planning, writing briefs and editing/QA-ing.

Reporting to our Head Of Growth, you’ll also work with a growing team of writers, partners and internal experts to collaborate on new topic ideas, article assignments, editing, optimizing, publishing and promoting.

Key Responsibilities

• Content creation: Write and edit blog articles and other written content for Pictory AI, ensuring they're well-crafted, informative, and engaging.
• Proofreading and editing: Review and polish written materials for clarity, grammar, and style, ensuring they adhere to Pictory AI's brand guidelines (without being boring!).
• Research and fact-checking: Conduct thorough research on assigned topics to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the content.
• SEO optimization: Implement best practices in search engine optimization (SEO) to optimize written content for improved visibility and organic reach (Training will be given).
• Collaboration with team members: Work closely with the marketing team and other stakeholders to understand content requirements and contribute ideas for content improvement.
• Content planning and organization: Participate in content planning sessions, brainstorming ideas, and developing content calendars to ensure a consistent flow of engaging articles.
• Stay up-to-date: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to generate fresh and relevant content ideas.
• Proofreading and quality control: Perform thorough proofreading and quality checks to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism in all written materials.
• Time management: Meet deadlines and manage multiple writing projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Requirements

• Native English speaker
• Exceptional proofreading, editing, and writing skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Patience & ability to coach other people
• Great project management, organizational, and planning skills
• Strong interest in video and AI
• Be comfortable working in a fast changing environment
• Be a quick learner with a ‘Can do' attitude
